The Name.

Really, we should have known we were headed down a bad path at this point.

But gosh darnit, we liked it.

Sorry mom. But . . . No you're right. I don't know what we were thinking. Yes, I'll think next time. Yes maam.

Well now, see we knew we were on to something.

Bingo. There it is.

We can admit a mistake.

THE NAME

We are Methodikal, in name as well as in personality. We approach every project as if it had the potential to impact someone’s life. Because it does.

But to tell you the truth, Methodikal wasn’t our original name for this venture. The first was “The Meth Lab.”

Now, before you start saying, “What the hell were these guys thinking?” you should know that it did make sense at the time (at least to us). Mike + Seth = Meth. To keep overhead low when we opened back in 2006, we were working from home and cooking up crazy stuff in our kitchens. It seemed apt and bold. Plus it made us laugh.

Fortunately, we have mothers, both of whom immediately saw the flaw in our original name.

So listening to our moms and using our better judgment, we scrapped The Meth Lab and moved on to a better idea.

Methodikal is true to who we are – as people and as professionals. It feels fun, hardworking and much less likely to get us investigated by the D.E.A.
