Despite Howard Center helping more than 15,000 people every year, employing 1,500 staff, and offering dozens of critical services, most people in Burlington had no idea what the organization did, who it was, or what impact it had. Even longtime employees struggled to tell the whole story. The old logo wasn’t helping either; it was simple, but meaningless.
So Howard Center asked us to help. Its leaders wanted a memorable new identity that could bring the whole organization together. They wanted a new logo, maybe a tagline, too. Most important, they wanted people who needed help to know that Howard Center was there for them.
We spent a long time talking to employees, board members, and others who cared so we could understand what was really important. Once we built a solid foundation, we dug into concept development, logo design, tagline development, and all the rest. In the end, we created a smart and compelling brand that’s been well-received, both within and outside the organization.
